“I love to hear a choir. I love the humanity… to see the faces of real people devoting themselves to a piece of music. I like the teamwork. It makes me feel optimistic about the human race when I see them cooperating like that.” – Paul McCartney

In our society, we focus on the “individual.” We look to benefit ourselves rather than the “greater good.” But the truth is, no one can operate alone. There is no such thing as a company, government, or family with only one person. It would be impossible to achieve our goals without the help of others. If you have a business, you need to work with others to help advertise or supply it. If you have a school, you need faculty and maintenance to keep it in good standing. Everything in the world started out as an idea. But one person trying to make the idea happen alone wouldn’t be as effective. So they build teams to help turn their ideas into reality.

So, what is a team? It’s when individuals can come together to achieve the same vision. Every member of the team is equally important. You cannot have one without the other or it’ll just fall apart. It’s like a table with a missing leg, it loses its stability and wouldn’t be able to function as well as a table with all four legs. Being in a team doesn’t just mean sharing work with others. It is a time to bond, to share ideas, and to be inspired by minds other than one’s own.

A team’s goal doesn’t always have to be about winning. It is about making things happen. It could be a family working together to build themselves a new home. Or people coming together after a natural disaster to help those in need. Or a dance committee getting together to create the best prom experience.

It’s about winning together, losing together, playing together, and staying together. One person can try to change the world. But it would be a whole lot easier to change the world with a group of people who share the same passion and vision.

2Kool is about inspiring people who have a vision to achieve their dreams and goals together. So what are some of the things you’ve always wanted to do in life?
